NEW SHIPPING POLICY AS OF OCT 2006 Please read. We tried using a "pick pack and ship" service in New York to speed things up . But it just didn't work. So I have to look after shipping myself. I normally visit NY to look after this on the 1st and 15th of the month. This means that ALL INSTOCK ORDERS SHOULD BE SHIPPED WITHIN 2 WEEKS OF RECEIPT OF ORDER. Robert Land footwear consists of ONE person. I work as fast as I can to get everything done for people.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF OUR WINTER 2007 BACK ORDER PROMOTION.
1. The time from order to shipping of these orders will be approx. 4 TO 5 WEEKS. Your invoice will have the word backorder just after the item discription. This time allows me to make them for you order. 2. Not available on Bargain basement or one of a kind items. I will cancel any order from these catagories. 3. Only available for standard sizes listed in the item discription. No custom sizing or colours. 4. I have a good supply of partially completed shoes, ready to be sized, thus allowing me to complete these is a reasonable time. If demand exceeds this supply I reserve the right to end this offer early.
RETURN POLICY. In the event that you feel you have to return your puchase please contact me in advance for instructions. If it's a minor problem sometimes it can be resolved there and then. In Canada: Robert Land Footwear, 593 Willow Rd Guelph, ON N1H 7J8. All other countries please ship to our New York Address. I will gladly repair or replace (my choice) any shoes returned due to defect in workmanship. For sizing problems I will replace only one time. If we do not get a fit this way A refund will be sent. I have found that after two pair both the customer and myself get frustrated. Let's stay friends. Refunds will be for the amount of purchase excluding shipping.
Shoe soles that have been damaged by fire or heat. This is noticable by the soles shrinking, drying, and and a crazed surface. This is not my fault and I will offer to repair at my regular repair rates. Over the years I have went by the following policy and found it to work well. I am easy to get along with, if you are.
SOME FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS. Q: Why do you only ship on the 1st and 15th to the U.S.?
A: We are a Canadian company. International shipping is very expensive, and slow. By airmail a 4 pound ( a pair of shoes) package costs $17 to $25 with a five day +/-delivery. No tracking info available. By surface 20% less, with 10 to 25 day delivery ( they state 10 days +/-, but I don't believe them). Delivery conf. available. By courier, cost prohibative ($28 and up, way up!). Also if valued over $200 usd there could be a customs brokers fee ranging from $40 to $70 per package with couriers! I bundle all the orders together. Drive to NY with them. Clear customs as one large entry. Then ship individual orders by UPS from Niagara Falls. at a shipping cost of $8 to $13. Delivery, one to 6 days anywhere in the US. With a tracking number. It saves you the customer money ( 50 to 60% )on shipping and makes me competitive with US companies. If you must have your order shipped within a day or two of ordering. Please place it on the 30th or the 14th and you will be happy.
