Brief Description
Detailed Description

These are the typical German boots that were worn circa 1939 with 34 cm tall shafts.  Inventory will almost always show none in stock as these boots have so many options that I cannot stock all.  Please see "More details" page and "Detailed discription" for more photos, information and ordering instructions.

We have finally perfected our WWII German boots. Our standard boot will be a 1939 vintage pattern with shafts of 34cm height. Circa 1942, the shafts were 28 cm high. Before 1939 they were 38cm tall.  Our boots are made out good sturdy veg. tanned leather that is tough as nails.  It has been heavily oiled to give flexibility where needed.  These boots are not floppy and soft.  These boots have the correct rough side out vamps, and polished side out shafts. Correct overlapped seam at the back, with four rows of stitching.  Cloth pulls on the sides.  Pegged soles, with a heavy "clump" type half soles attached as per the originals.  Comes complete with horse shoe type heel irons. The heel irons we use are not original in style for these boots.   They are real close.  I cannot afford to buy original pieces to install.

Hob nails can be included with these boots.
I do not have period correct German hob nails for the second world war. I do have hobnails that can be installed into the boots if you want the real feel of marching in hobnailed boots. They are not the eight sided German nails. They are available as an add on ($$) option below.   I was up til Nov. 2014 supplying and installing the nails for free.  But, due to a 100% price increase on these since the last time I purchased, I can no longer do this for free.  There is a $20 charge to supply and install my hobnails.   If you have period correct nails that you want installed into your boots, I can still install them for you at no extra charge.  Email me at to tell me you are providing your own nails and then mail them up to me at:

You need bare minimum of 80 nails to do the job. On larger sizes 80 nails won't do the job, try to get a hundred pieces, as I cannot put them as close together as the original nails were and they will wear very fast..

Boots were originally brown, then re-dyed black. These boots are as close to the real thing as you can get without wearing the real thing.  I now only offer them instock in brown only.  I am tired of guys whining that my colour of black is not their colour of black.  I'll  still dye your boots for you.  There's no longer a surcharge for this service.  I put a very thin coat of a black finishing dye on the shafts, and polish them. it allows the brown to bleed through and give the impression that someone spent alot of time trying to blacken these boots ( someone did, ME.) from brown and this finish will have to be looked after.  You'll actually have to polish your boots!  If this isn't the colour of black you want.  Do it yourself.
