Copied from and original in my own collection. The entire front is one piece. Looks just like a pair of boots coming out from under the pants, but, you are not wearing seven pounds of leather. An exellent gentleman's dress shoe
The original shoe that this was copied from was worn by a man for his wedding in 1864. The man's entire wedding ensamble was put away in a trunk, and we were lucky enough to be able to purchase the shoes. An exellent dateable item from 1864.
These side elastic shoes were in fashion from the mid 1850's to the "Beatle" boots of the 60's (1960's that is).
Made from fine black kid leather. Fully lined. These shoes, as are many of my products, would be the finishing touch to a gentleman's or officer's impresion.
These shoes are not available in half sizes. Please round down. Eg. 9 1/2 to 9. These shoes run long in length
