This is the same shoe as our brown Fredricksburg shoe. Only these are made from unlined black waxed flesh leather. The originals were made in brown ( russet) leather. By popular demand I have again done a batch in black leather.

The leather used in these shoes is the true waxed flesh leather of the 1800's. Only one tannery in the United states still makes this leather. It's very expensive. But what a difference it makes in the finish of the shoe.

SIZING. Many people have contacted me with regards to sizing. If you have worries about getting a correct fit please contact me by email at rlandfootwear@rogers.com and request a copy of my measuring chart. Return the information required and I can reccommend to you the size that should fit you well. We have done this in the past with several people and have had almost 100% fitting on the first pair..
