Civilian, or officer's low quarter walking shoe. Black polished leather, exellent for a civilian gentleman's impression. NOW AVAILABLE IN WIDE WIDTH

This shoe is copied from an original shoe recovered from a barn in Georgia, along with several other single shoes and boots. All of these were in well worn, well used (abused) condition. All were of the 1850's 60's period. One thing that stood out in my mind was the amount of repairs these items had before they were finally discarded. I can supply a photo of the remains of the original shoe if you desire. The original shoe, as mine was fully lined, with cloth and leather, made with the polished side out. Had a low heel and pegged soles.
A good shoe to wear with your good suit. Put those brogans away for your civilian impression. Would you wear army boots with your good suit (to a dance) today?

SIZING. Many people have contacted me with regards to sizing. If you have worries about getting a correct fit please contact me by email at rlandfootwear@rogers.com and request a copy of my measuring chart. Return the information required and I can reccommend to you the size that should fit you well. We have done this in the past with several people and have had almost 100% fitting on the first pair.
